Denver Pride (Denver PrideFest and Vizzy Denver Pride Parade)

Denver Pride is produced by The Center on Colfax, the local LGBTQ+ community center, with programming across the city through June. In 2026 PrideFest moved for one day to 16th Street downtown because Civic Center Park is under renovation, and the parade ran on 17th Avenue from Franklin Street to Lincoln Street. The free festival includes a Latin stage, a Gayborhood area, and a youth and family area.

Denver Pride is one of the country's largest Pride festivals and the only one of its size produced by a local LGBTQ+ community center. The Center on Colfax has served Colorado's LGBTQ+ community for 50 years, and Pride is one of the main ways it raises money for its year-round programs and services.

Pride in Denver starts on June 1 with events large and small across the city, with new programming meant to make sure all identities and intersections are represented. The final weekend brings the traditional lineup of a 5K, the parade and the free festival. The Center also publishes a blog series on Denver Pride history.

The Center notes that hostile rhetoric, shifting policies and a shrinking number of safe spaces have led more LGBTQ+ people to seek refuge in Colorado, and it frames taking part in Pride as direct support for the services the community relies on. Official Denver Pride merchandise, including an artist-designed bag, is sold at The Center on Colfax.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
