ConcordPride

ConcordPride is a town Pride program in Concord coordinated by the Town of Concord with local organizations. The main day, ConcordPride Fest, includes a flag raising, a rally and march through Concord Center, and free family-friendly music, art, and activities. A picnic and dance party on the First Parish lawn is held the evening before, and smaller events continue through the year.

The Town of Concord runs ConcordPride as a month-long June program, and 2026 marked its fourth year. Events are sponsored by local organizations, and the planning team, reachable through the town's diversity, equity and inclusion office, keeps activities going through the rest of the year. Partners have included the town's Diversity Equity and Inclusion Commission, the League of Women Voters of Concord-Carlisle, and the Concord Public Schools and Concord-Carlisle High School office for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.

Past festivals have opened with Concord Fire Department members raising the Pride flag, and have included speeches at First Parish Church from ministers and community members and a song performed by a Concord-Carlisle High School student. The program also has an educational side, with lectures such as Interpreting the Queer Past, a talk examining Daniel Chester French, and a 2026 program titled We've Always Been Here.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

ConcordPride has included flag raising, march, festival, picnic and dance party and interfaith service.

The next edition is June 5, 2027. It usually falls first Saturday in June, with a Friday evening picnic.
