PRIDE Northshore Parade and Block Party

PRIDE Northshore is a parade and block party at the Mandeville Lakefront presented by Queer Northshore. It brings LGBTQ+ residents, allies, local organizations, and businesses together on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain.

PRIDE Northshore is presented by Queer Northshore and is described as the largest annual LGBTQ+ celebration on Louisiana's Northshore, a region where dedicated LGBTQ+ spaces have historically been limited. The 2026 edition, held on May 30, was the third annual event and drew thousands of residents, allies, organizations and businesses.

The 2026 parade ran from 4 to 5 p.m. along Girod Street from Lakeshore Drive to Woodrow Street. It featured local organizations, drag performers, music, a giant Pride flag, the debut of the Queer Northshore Dance Krewe and themed floats led by the group's signature Pride Pelican. The theme, We Rise Together, was framed as a promise to stand with all who are oppressed, including immigrants.

A free, all-ages block party followed at the Mandeville Trailhead on Lafitte Street, with drag performances, community groups, family activities, food vendors and Pride merchandise. Other PRIDE Northshore events in 2026 included a Pride Market at Tandem, drag bingo, a Disco Flambeaux after-dark party and a Pride social in June.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held May 30, 2026. It usually falls late May or early June Saturday.
