Indy BLK+ Pride Summer Fest

Indy BLK+ Pride Summer Fest is a Black and queer Pride celebration organized by Indiana Pride of Color, a group serving LGBTQ+ people of color across Indiana. The 2026 festival was held in Indianapolis with vendors, entertainers and community partners.

Indiana Pride of Color, known as INPOC, describes itself as a lifeline and advocate for Black, Indigenous and other LGBTQ+ people of color in Indiana, and as a chosen family working for the dignity and survival of its members. The group says Black and Brown LGBTQ+ Hoosiers often face isolation, fear and systemic barriers, and it envisions a state where every LGBTQ+ person of color has a safe harbor and where Black and Brown queer joy is openly celebrated. Indy BLK+ Pride Summer Fest is one of its public events.

INPOC organizes its work around three commitments. The first is creating and keeping culturally affirming gathering spaces and programs that counter loneliness and build collective power. The second is connecting members with culturally competent health care, mental health support and financial resilience resources. The third is policy advocacy at the local and state level against legislation and systemic inequities that threaten the community's lives and rights. Donations support all three areas.

Black Pride events center Black LGBTQ+ people. Many run over a long weekend, with parties, panels, health and wellness programs and community gatherings.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held September 12, 2026. It usually falls september.
