About La Crosse Pride in the Park
La Crosse Pride in the Park is a free, family-friendly festival held each September at Riverside Park on the Mississippi River. It is organized by The Center: 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection and includes vendors, community groups, kids activities, food and drag.
The Center: 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection runs both Pride in the Park and the La Crosse Pride Pageant, and it describes them as chances for the community to celebrate identities and queer history and to build lasting friendships. The pageant, in which drag performers compete for the La Crosse Pride royalty title, is the biggest fundraiser of the year for The Center. Aza Icon was crowned Miss La Crosse Pride for 2026.
The Center also sells a Pride t-shirt design online through the end of September, with part of each sale going to The Center and to Trans Lifeline, and a limited number of shirts are available at the festival. Businesses can support the events through sponsorship levels that include printed banners, with the top tiers paid by check.
