Fox Valley Pride

Fox Valley Pride is a festival at Jones Park in downtown Appleton. It opens with the Pride Promenade, a walk and rally during the Appleton Farmers Market, and continues with drag shows, a cornhole tournament and vendors.

Fox Valley Pride celebrates the LGBTQIA2S+ community of the Fox Cities and beyond. The Pride Promenade, part walk, part rally and part party, was added to the festival and returned for a second year, giving people a way to show up together in downtown Appleton.

Because the promenade takes place during the Appleton Farmers Market, participants follow a set of rules drawn from local ordinances. Everyone walks as one group along the set path from start to finish, no candy is thrown or handed out, and the experience has to be suitable for all ages. Walkers are asked to respect the market's vendors and not to engage with any protesters. Candidates and elected officials may wear campaign clothing, but other political banners and materials are not allowed.

The organization raises money through merchandise, including shirts, hats and bottles, and its website keeps a record of past festival offerings.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 13, 2026. It usually falls second Saturday of June.
