Milton Pride Fest

Milton Pride Fest is an outdoor community Pride celebration held by the nonprofit Milton Theatre on its Quayside stage in Milton, Sussex County. The 2026 edition on June 13 featured live music and drag performances, food trucks and booths from groups such as Sussex Pride and CAMP Rehoboth. It was also held in 2025.

The Milton Theatre, which hosts Pride Fest, has stood in historic downtown Milton since about 1910. Over the years the building has served as the town's movie house, a basketball hall, a fire station, a social center and a community stage, and it survived three major fires and decades of neglect before becoming an arts hub for Milton and the Delmarva Peninsula. The nonprofit's mission is to present entertainment and cultural programming that reflects the community and supports the regional economy.

Pride Fest performances take place on the Quayside stage. The 2026 lineup included Mama's Black Sheep, the duo of singer-songwriters Ashland Miller and Laura Cerulli, cabaret performer Magnolia Applebottom and friends, and the Boy Band Project, a 2019 Broadway World Award winner for best group. Unique vendors and food trucks round out the day, and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is the festival's yearly sponsor.

Outside food and drink, large bags and coolers are not allowed on the festival grounds. Parking is available behind M&T Bank on weekends, in two gravel lots at the fire station on Front Street and on the streets around the theatre. During June the theatre also invites residents and businesses to Paint the Town Rainbow by flying Pride flags all month.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 13, 2026. It usually falls mid-June.
