Rehoboth Beach Pride

Rehoboth Beach Pride is a multi-day summer Pride weekend in the Delaware beach town, organized by Sussex Pride. The centerpiece is a festival at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, surrounded by an interfaith service, drag shows, a comedy night and a closing party. The 2027 weekend is set for July 15 to 18 with the festival on Saturday, July 17.

Rehoboth Beach Pride is produced by Sussex Pride, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works through a social justice lens to support the LGBTQ+ community in Sussex County and across Delaware. Its work covers arts and culture, health and wellness, social and support groups, and advocacy, and it is a member of CenterLink, the national association of LGBT community centers.

The weekend brings together events at several local venues. The 2026 schedule included an interfaith service at MCC Rehoboth organized by Sussex Pride Faith, an evening show by Gay Women of Rehoboth at the convention center, the main festival at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center and a closing party at Aqua. Earlier years have featured drag shows at Blue Moon and parties at Freddie's Beach Bar and Diego's, and the festival raffle raises money for the organization.

Planning is open to volunteers, who can join through a community email group. Sponsor information is usually released in January and vendor registration opens in February ahead of each summer's weekend.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
