About Newark Ohio Pride Festival

The Newark Ohio Pride Festival is a free, family-friendly Pride held in downtown Newark during LGBTQIA+ History Month. It is hosted by SPARC, which began in 2018 as the Newark Ohio Pride Coalition and was the first LGBTQ+ community group founded in Licking County. The festival has drag artists, musicians, poets and dancers, a vendor village and activities for kids, followed by an 18-and-over drag after-party.

What to expect

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
