NoCo Pride March

The NoCo Pride March is a peaceful, family-oriented march through Old Town Fort Collins hosted by NoCo SafeSpace. It is trans-affirming and centers queer and trans youth and LGBTQIA+ people of color. Groups, organizations, and businesses may march, and it is held rain or shine.

NoCo SafeSpace, the host, is a Colorado organization that provides LGBTQ+ professional development training and inclusion consulting for schools, government bodies, businesses and other groups. Its march has run for several years and is framed as both a family event and a reminder that the first Pride marches were protests. Signs calling for visibility and change are encouraged.

The march is open to all ages and mobilities, and accessibility details are released a few weeks ahead; wheelchair access has been set up at the start of the route. In past years youth from SplashNoCo have led the march carrying more than 30 identity flags. Anti-transgender hate or exclusion is not tolerated, and the event stays intentionally inclusive of trans and nonbinary youth, adults and seniors.

Organizations, businesses and agencies can march with banners or branded shirts, and those who register can be listed in the annual NoCo Pride Guide. The march has also been paired with a vaccine clinic offering shots such as mpox, COVID-19, hepatitis A and B, HPV and meningitis. A separate Fort Collins Pride event follows on the Sunday.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 5, 2026. It usually falls early June.
