Pikes Peak Pride Festival and Parade

Pikes Peak Pride is a free two-day festival in downtown Colorado Springs with more than 160 vendors, food trucks, and a beer garden. The Sunday parade starts near Acacia Park and ends at the festival at Alamo Square Park. The event includes a main stage with drag and local performers, a Rainbow Youth Square for families, and educational sessions.

Southern Colorado has held Pride events for 36 years, and Pikes Peak Pride, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has managed the festival for the last few of them. The group works for full civil and social equity by celebrating, educating and highlighting the LGBTQ+ community and its allies across the Pikes Peak region.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. just north of Acacia Park at Platte Boulevard and Tejon Street, then heads south on Tejon to Vermijo Street at Alamo Square Park, where the festival is held. Groups apply to march, with applications opening in February.

Pikes Peak Pride also shows up around the region through the year. It has held a Pride Ride through downtown with StreetCar 520, PikeRide and The Wednesday Ride, entered the Emma Crawford Coffin Races in Manitou Springs, and joined the Parade of Lights in December, with volunteers invited to take part.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 13-14, 2026. It usually falls second weekend of June.
