Berks Pride Fest

Berks Pride Fest is a ticketed community festival produced by Reading Pride Celebration at Jim Dietrich Park. It is the area's oldest and largest festival of its kind, and 2026 marked 20 years.

Berks Pride Fest is a private, ticketed event produced by Reading Pride Celebration and open to people of all ages. Tickets cost $4 in advance and $5 at the gate, are sold through Eventeny and are not refundable. The festival runs rain or shine.

Bags and personal items are subject to inspection at the entrance. Small or clear bags, medically necessary items, folding chairs, picnic blankets, umbrellas and small containers of sunscreen and bug spray are allowed, while outside food and drinks, including alcohol, and flyers for distribution are not. Smoking, vaping and marijuana are limited to designated areas.

Accessibility shuttles are available for people with mobility challenges, and service animals are welcome under ADA guidelines. Supervised pets can come too, though aggressive or exotic animals are not allowed. Volunteers and an Information Tent handle questions and emergencies. Protesters are kept outside the festival grounds, and attendees are asked not to engage with them and to alert a volunteer if needed.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held July 19, 2026. It usually falls third Sunday in July.
