Box Elder Pride in the Park

Pride in the Park is a free, family-friendly Pride celebration for the LGBTQIA+ community of Box Elder County, held in Brigham City. It is organized by Box Elder Pride, a new nonprofit.

Box Elder Pride, which operates as Box Elder Pride Family Services, began with a vision from its president, Candice, to give people in the county a place to be themselves without judgment. A small leadership team shares that work, including an assistant director, a media manager and an outreach coordinator.

According to its mission statement, the group works to strengthen LGBTQIA2S+ communities across Box Elder County and to tackle inequities through organizing that considers overlapping identities, along with advocacy, education and direct support. It hopes for a world where every member of those communities is safe, treated fairly, and free to live openly with opportunity and autonomy. Its tagline puts families and community-building at the center of the work, and people who want to volunteer can reach out through a message form on its website.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The next edition is September 26, 2026. It usually falls late September.
