Park City Pride

Park City Pride is a free evening celebration held by the Summit Pride Foundation to open Pride Month in the Wasatch Back. It begins with a march from the Park City Mountain Resort main lot to City Park, where local music and drag artists, food vendors, and community partners fill the park. The 2026 event was the second annual edition.

Park City Pride is produced by Summit Pride, which began in 2021 as the Park City LGBTQ+ Taskforce, created by Park City Municipal to understand and address the needs of local residents. It incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 2024 and is now an independent coalition of queer people from across the Wasatch Back that works through events, advocacy and charitable programs.

The group credits its work with helping raise Park City's Municipal Equality Index score from 37 to 70 and then to 86. It has expanded Pride Month visibility with declarations, flag raisings, transit campaigns and Main Street banners, and it has set up scholarships for young adults working to advance inclusion.

Year-round gatherings include a Pride Picnic, holiday events and Queer Ski Week. Summit Pride also partners with local schools and governments on LGBTQ+ advocacy, and it offers quiet zones at its events.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Organizers reported about 150 participants people in 2025.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held May 31, 2026. It usually falls last weekend of May, opening Pride Month.
