Canyon County Pride

Canyon County Pride holds an annual Pride event in Nampa.

Canyon County Pride is a community-led effort to celebrate and uplift LGBTQ+ people in Canyon County and across Idaho. Its events aim to create safe and brave spaces for self-expression and family gatherings, build unity and understanding, and make the state's diverse identities more visible. The organizers credit volunteers, sponsors and community members with making the event possible.

The group lists five guiding values: embracing the full range of LGBTQ+ identities, amplifying people who are often marginalized or underrepresented, cultivating spaces where people can express themselves without fear, building solidarity across different communities, and treating joy as a form of resistance and healing. Its longer-term vision is an Idaho where LGBTQ+ people are fully visible and valued in every part of society, with Pride events serving as a source of education and acceptance.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet.
