Southern Idaho Pride

Southern Idaho Pride holds an annual Pride in Twin Falls City Park.

Pride in Twin Falls dates to 2007, when the College of Southern Idaho Gender and Sexuality Alliance held a gathering in Frontier Park for about 100 people and six vendors. The event has gone by names such as Magic Valley Pride Festival and Southern Idaho Pride Festival, and in 2023 it was renamed Twin Falls Pride to reflect the community it serves. It is free, held on the second weekend in June, and planned by a local Pride Planning Committee that Southern Idaho Pride formed in 2024.

A Pride parade on Main Street, started in 2021 by local business owner Heidi Heil, has been held the day before the festival and followed by a block party with local musicians and food. Southern Idaho Pride took it over in 2024. In 2025, with fewer registered participants, safety concerns and the cost to the city in mind, the committee turned it into a rally in the park.

Southern Idaho Pride began as a Facebook group and is led mainly by local activists. It runs education on LGBTQIA+ topics, partners with healthcare providers to improve access to affirming care, and joins coalition work across Idaho to challenge discrimination, especially against transgender people.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. It usually falls early June.
