Palouse Pride Festival

Palouse Pride is a late-summer Pride festival in Moscow's East City Park with live music, drag, and food.

Palouse Pride is run by Inland Oasis, which was incorporated in 2004 and follows a line of LGBTQ+ groups on the Palouse going back to 1976. In 2020 the group moved into its current building and began turning it into a community center with a commercial kitchen and food pantry. The first Palouse Pride, in 1992, was a picnic among friends in a park; it has since grown into a multi-day event drawing hundreds of people.

The 2026 weekend included a march from the Federal Building on East Fifth Street through downtown Moscow to East City Park, where Pride in the Park offers vendors, live music, drag and community tables. Marchers stay on the sidewalk, and organizers ask people to limit downtown parking so the farmers market and local businesses are not affected. Pride in the Park is free and family-friendly, with no alcohol and pets kept on leash.

Other weekend events are ticketed or covered by a Weekend Pass: a drag bingo night at the Latah County Fairgrounds Event Center, a TabiKat drag show at the 1912 Center for ages 16 and up, and a wrap-up brunch with performances at the Inland Oasis center. A cult film screening at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre has also been part of the lead-up.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. It usually falls late August.
