About Gate City Pride
Gate City Pride is Pocatello's annual Pride celebration at Centennial Park.
Gate City Pride is a family-friendly celebration that puts its focus on resources and community building, with activities for all ages. The organization behind it is supported by sponsors, monthly donors and volunteers, and it uses that support to run programs through the year.
Its youth programs include a book club for 9th through 12th graders that reads young adult books with LGBTQ+ themes, and a queer role-playing game group, QRPG, with sessions for middle schoolers and teens. The Closet is a free community clothing space for trans and gender expansive people and anyone looking for clothes that reflect who they are, with everything from casual to professional wear offered at no cost.
Volunteer directors lead the youth programming and The Closet, and the director of The Closet also manages the Pride stage.
