Sandpoint Pride

Sandpoint Pride is an annual Pride festival in Sandpoint in north Idaho.

Sandpoint Pride is organized by the Sandpoint Alliance for Equality, known as SAFE. The festival's stated purpose is to affirm the LGBTQI2S community, welcome and celebrate its contributions to society, and support the continuing movement for its rights. Over the years it has grown into a four-day event.

The 2026 schedule included an Advocacy Fair, where families, businesses and nonprofits host booths as advocacy partners. SAFE recruits volunteers for many jobs and shifts across the four days, from setup and teardown to everything in between, and interested people can apply through the festival website.

The festival depends on local sponsors who contribute money, time and volunteer hours, and SAFE encourages attendees to thank them by supporting their businesses and organizations. Donations made through the event benefit several local organizations that serve the LGBTQI2S community in the Sandpoint area, and businesses interested in sponsoring can find details on how to take part on the SAFE website.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet.
