Chattanooga Youth Pride

Chattanooga Youth Pride is a youth-centered Pride celebration hosted by The Seed Theatre. The fourth annual event on May 31, 2026 included drag story time, local vendors and ally organizations, affirming religious groups, free food and a tea tent.

Since its founding, Seed Theatre has worked to make space for LGBTQ+ young people to gather safely and express themselves, and Chattanooga Youth Pride grows out of that work. The theater hosts the event on its own and sees it as a step toward more youth and family Pride programming in the city.

In 2026 the event ran from noon to 6 p.m. at 701 Hooker Road in Chattanooga, a site with on-site parking that is accessible for people with disabilities. Beyond drag queen story time and tables from vendors, ally groups and affirming congregations, the program included interactive activities, Uncle Iroh's Tea Tent, and a Queery Godmother offering guidance and comfort to young attendees.

Tickets and check-in are handled through the Eventeny platform. Organizers describe the day as a place where anyone can come to celebrate, learn or simply be themselves.

Youth Pride events are made for LGBTQ+ young people and their families, usually alcohol-free, with activities, performers and supportive community groups.
