Upper Cumberland Pride Festival

Upper Cumberland Pride is a nonprofit supporting LGBTQIA+ people in the Cookeville area of Middle Tennessee. Its annual Pride Festival was held on June 13, 2026 at Dogwood Park under the community-chosen theme One Community, Many Faces.

Upper Cumberland Pride brings together LGBTQIA+ people in Cookeville and the surrounding Upper Cumberland region to support inclusion, dignity and equality. Its core mission is to strengthen equality and raise awareness of issues such as health, safety and marriage equality. It works through positive visibility in the community, safe spaces where different perspectives can be shared, and education meant to build harmony.

UCP is led by an elected board, with officers chosen in October and May elections, and much of its work runs through committees. The president also chairs the Entertainment Committee, the vice president leads the Grants Writing and Volunteer and Logistics committees, and the treasurer heads Fundraising. At-large board members focus on outreach and visibility across the region.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 13, 2026. It usually falls mid-June.
