Jackson Pride Fest

Jackson Pride holds an annual community festival for West Tennessee in Jackson. The 2026 festival on September 26 runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Carl Perkins Civic Center with a DJ, live bands, food trucks and vendors for a $1 admission or donation, followed by the ticketed 18 and over Pride After Dark that evening.

Jackson Pride is a fund of the Community Foundation of West Tennessee, serving the LGBTQIA community of Jackson and the surrounding counties. It is supported entirely by private donations from people in the region, and that money pays for the annual fall festival as well as resources, events and assistance for LGBTQIA people throughout the year. A fund advisory board guides its work.

The group's aim is to raise awareness and understanding of the LGBTQIA community in Jackson through community involvement, projects, events and educational resources, while offering support to LGBTQIA people and their allies. The festival is open to all ages and identities, and sponsors, vendors and volunteers can sign up through the Jackson Pride website.

With continued community support, Jackson Pride has also started a scholarship program for LGBTQIA+ students of all ages pursuing education after high school. Donors can give to Jackson Pride generally or to the scholarship fund specifically, and students can find the scholarship application on the group's website.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
