Dayton Pride

Dayton Pride is organized by the Greater Dayton LGBT Center in downtown Dayton. The week includes an interfaith service, a Friday block party, a Saturday parade and festival, and a Sunday run/walk. The festival has live entertainment, vendors, food and a kids' area.

Dayton Pride is run by the Greater Dayton LGBT Center, founded in 1976 to offer community-based services to gender and sexual minorities in Dayton and the Miami Valley. The center provides space for meetings and events, partners with other organizations on health and wellness services, and hosts community dinners, movie nights and art gallery shows for local artists. It also works with the LGBT Film Festival and the Her/History Project, which records the stories of local LGBTQIA+ people, and it provides diversity training to local businesses and governments.

The center frames Pride as a commemoration of the Stonewall Riots and as a space where people can express themselves without fear of hate and experience queerness as the norm. The Friday kickoff is a casual evening of live entertainment with food trucks and drinks for sale.

The 2025 parade lined up on Jefferson Street and started at Second Street, heading to Main Street and looping around on First Street down to Patterson. The festival follows the parade with live entertainment, vendors and food, and families are encouraged to come, with a section set aside for children's activities.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Dayton Pride has included parade, festival, block party, interfaith service and 5k.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 5-6, 2026. It usually falls first weekend of June.
