Dodge City PrideFest

Dodge City PrideFest is an annual LGBTQ+ Pride event in southwest Kansas run by the Dodge City Pride Association, with events at the Wright Park bandshell and an evening show. The 2026 theme was Queens of the Cowtown.

The Dodge City Pride Association exists to produce an annual LGBTQIA+ Pride event in Dodge City for LGBTQIA+ people and their allies, and to raise visibility and advocate on issues affecting LGBTQIA+ residents of Dodge City and the surrounding area. The association adopted its bylaws in April 2024 and became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit effective May 18, 2024, so donations are tax-deductible.

PrideFest is held over the last weekend of June and is put together with community partners, with a program of drag, music, activities and food. The 2026 theme, Queens of the Cowtown, was chosen to honor the women who call the city home. The association publishes its announcements in both English and Spanish, invites residents to send ideas and suggestions, and recruits volunteers and leaders by email.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 26-27, 2026. It usually falls late June.
