Findlay Pride

Findlay Pride runs a month of June events around Findlay and Hancock County instead of a single festival. The series opens with a community Pride potluck at Dorney Plaza and includes a bike ride, art workshops, an open mic, a youth craft fair and a closing mixer.

Findlay Pride is a volunteer effort by Findlay residents, and its stated mission is to take Pride back to the basics: bringing people together, building relationships and showing the welcoming spirit that exists in Findlay for everyone who lives there. It is a grassroots initiative rather than a 501(c)(3), so it does not accept donations. Instead it points supporters to groups such as Equitas Health, The Buckeye Flame, the Findlay High School GSA and The Loft, a local nonprofit that supports young people ages 10 to 17.

Rather than producing one festival, Findlay Pride collects and promotes Pride Month events hosted by local businesses and organizations, at no cost to them. Anyone planning an event can send details to the group to be added to the calendar.

Past listings show the range. Further Bikes has hosted a free, easygoing hour-long cruise around downtown, with a few loaner bikes and decorated bikes encouraged. Riverside Park has hosted free yoga, and False Chord Brewing has held a drag bingo night with ticket proceeds going to The Loft. The Findlay Art League has offered a family-friendly tie-dye workshop on the history of resist dyeing and the rainbow flag, benefiting the Art League, Equitas Health and The Buckeye Flame, and LBE Vintage has hosted a Pride shopping night with one-night discounts.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Findlay Pride has included pride potluck, youth craft fair, drag bingo, open mic and yoga.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 6-29, 2026. It usually falls june.
