Bowling Green Pride

Bowling Green Pride is a downtown Pride festival run by the BGO Pride Association, a nonprofit building local LGBTQ+ community in Bowling Green.

The BGO Pride Association was founded to build a local community for LGBTQ+ people and their supporters in Bowling Green, Ohio. The group sees its role as hosting and nurturing that community so everyone can feel they belong. Longtime residents, young people, families, college students and people passing through town are all welcome, as long as they value equality and kindness.

The festival reached its fifth annual edition with more than 2,000 LGBTQIA+ community members and allies attending. The association marked the milestone with a special issue of its quarterly newsletter recapping the day, with photos donated by volunteer photographer Crista Metzger.

BGO Pride is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mailing address on South Church Street in Bowling Green. Along with the festival, it publishes the quarterly newsletter to keep supporters up to date between events.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 27, 2026. It usually falls late June.
