Pride in the CLE

Pride in the CLE is Cleveland's annual Pride, produced by the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland in downtown Cleveland. The day opens with a march, followed by an all-day festival on Malls B and C with local exhibitors, food vendors and performers. A Main Stage hosts larger acts, and a Speak Out Stage features local activists, poets and artists. The event also raises money for the Center's free programs.

The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland, founded in 1975, produces Pride in the CLE with the queer-led event firm Palmer Event Solutions. The center works across Northeast Ohio through advocacy, education, support and year-round gatherings, and it offers free programs for LGBTQ+ youth, elders, and transgender and gender-expansive people. Pride is a fundraiser for that work and costs more than $450,000 to produce each year.

An estimated 42,000 people attended in 2025. The two stages are set up differently. The Main Stage on Mall C is the larger platform, built for polished sets by bigger groups and ensembles. The Speak Out Stage on Mall B is a smaller, alcohol-free space for solo artists, spoken word, DJs, dance, storytelling and interactive community programming.

Speakers and performers have included local activists, health advocates, DJs and bands, along with groups such as ACT UP Cleveland, which works on direct action around HIV and AIDS.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Pride in the CLE has included march, festival, main stage, speak out stage and accessibility services.

Organizers reported about 42,000 people in 2025.

The next edition is June 5, 2027. It usually falls first Saturday in June.
