Whitewater Pride Rally

Whitewater Pride Rally is a family-friendly fall celebration at Cravath Lakefront Park, planned by a group that includes Whitewater Unites Lives, UW-Whitewater and Whitewater High School. It features live music, drag, speakers on LGBTQ+ issues, vendors, food trucks, a children's corner and a Pride pet costume contest.

Whitewater Pride is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) founded in 2021 to bring LGBTQ+ people and allies together. Its mission is to foster diversity, inclusion and pride, and its core values are advocacy, civility, diversity, education, equity, inclusion and justice. It is a member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

As of 2026 the group had raised more than $30,000, which it returns to the community through donations to youth programs, schools and the library, support for queer performers, musicians and small businesses, and sponsorships and scholarships. It hosts, sponsors or tables at more than 20 events a year. The Pride Rally, its largest event, is held on the first Saturday of October from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Its stated vision is an open, affirming and accepting environment for all people, with a focus on celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Whitewater Pride Rally has included rally, live music, drag, speakers, vendors, children's corner and pet costume contest.

The next edition is October 3, 2026. It usually falls early October.
