Wilton Pride Festival

The Wilton Pride Festival is presented by Wilton Pride with Wilton Library on the Wilton Town Green. It brings together vendors, organizations, and performers, and in 2026 included a community-painted mural.

Wilton Pride started as a grassroots group in 2019 and became a 501(c)(3) in 2022. It is run entirely by volunteers and follows five guiding principles: building community collaboration, challenging prejudice, celebrating LGBTQ+ culture, educating and promoting awareness. Its vision is a Wilton where the LGBTQ+ community is welcome, safe and supported.

The fourth annual festival in 2026 drew about 2,600 people and brought an official proclamation from the Town of Wilton. Local teens sang and took part as youth vendors. Each year attendees paint a community mural together, and the 2026 design by artist Edwin Ong of A Duck Amuck, who also designed one of Wilton Pride's 2025 crosswalks at the Riverbrook YMCA, is available for local organizations and businesses to host.

The group's year-round calendar includes family playdates, such as one at Merwin Meadows, and a monthly family meetup at Parlor Pizza. Donations support educational workshops, community events and scholarships. The fifth annual festival is planned for June 6, 2027.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
