Black Pride STL Homecoming Weekend

Black Pride St. Louis holds an annual homecoming weekend celebrating Black LGBTQ+ people in the St. Louis region, with a series of social and community events.

Black Pride St. Louis was founded in 1995, when members of a local gay and lesbian organization decided they could meet their challenges more effectively by working together and launched a dedicated space to celebrate Black LGBTQ+ identities. The organization serves the Black LGBTQ+ community in St. Louis and beyond, with a mission built around unity, pride and empowerment, along with advocacy for equality and social justice.

In the years since, the group has grown into a community organization that hosts annual events, educational programs and advocacy work. Its yearly Black Pride celebration has become its signature gathering, drawing people from many backgrounds to honor Black LGBTQ+ culture and community. The organization describes its history as one of resilience and solidarity, and it emphasizes action through its initiatives rather than words alone.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held August 13-16, 2026. It usually falls mid-August weekend.
