About Ozarks Pridefest
Ozarks Pridefest is Springfield's largest LGBTQ+ Pride event, organized by the GLO Center. The June festival takes place on Park Central Square downtown with vendors and performances.
The GLO Center also brings the Pridefest spirit to its own neighborhood with Pride on C-Street, a block party and street fair now in its second year. The event features vendor booths, local food and drinks and live performances, and it highlights the LGBTQIA+ community that lives around C-Street.
Vendor fees start at $50, with sponsorships at several levels, and businesses can donate goods or services. Performers apply through a form, and volunteers must pass a background check and attend an orientation the week before the event. Participating groups have included the League of Women Voters of Southwest Missouri, Grace United Methodist Church and the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Springfield. Organizers pitch vending as a low-cost way to stay engaged with LGBTQIA+ communities across the Ozarks, and performers chosen for the lineup are contacted in mid-August.
