About Range Iron Pride Festival
Range Iron Pride is the annual Pride festival for Minnesota's Iron Range, held at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center in Virginia. The festival moved there from the Park at Silver Lake in 2023 to accommodate its growth. The 2026 festival was the sixth annual.
Range Iron Pride began six years ago as a small, quickly planned event with little advertising, meant to start building community for LGBTQ+ people on the Iron Range. By 2025 the festival featured nearly 50 vendors, and the organization had built a network of more than 75 local businesses that show their support, all listed in a community directory.
The 2026 festival took place on August 8 outside the Iron Trail Motors Event Center, rain or shine, with an indoor plan in case of bad weather. Vendors check in starting at 8 a.m., must be set up by 10:30 a.m. and stay until 4 p.m., and booth locations are assigned in order of arrival. The group recruits volunteers, entertainers, vendors and sponsors each year and keeps in touch with supporters through an email newsletter.
