Blue Water Pride Fest

Blue Water Pride Fest is an afternoon Pride festival at McMorran Plaza in downtown Port Huron. It is organized by Blue Water Allies.

Blue Water Allies is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by LGBTQ+ people and allies, and it operates an LGBTQ+ community center at 1519 Military Street in the historic Atrium building in downtown Port Huron. The organization describes it as the first and only LGBTQ+ center in Michigan's Thumb region, and it aims to serve the general public as well as the LGBTQ+ community across the Blue Water area.

The center offers support for mental and physical health, recovery services, arts and culture, social activities and advocacy. Regular programs have included an Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families meeting and a chess club for beginners and experienced players that meets on the first and third Fridays of the month from 5 to 7 p.m.

Blue Water Allies is funded in part through sponsorships and the Allies' Club, a monthly membership that starts at 10 dollars and comes with a members-only pin, discounts on ticketed events and recognition at higher giving levels. The board describes itself as a mix of people with different professions and lived experiences who share a commitment to the center's mission.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 28, 2026. It usually falls last Sunday of June.
