Macomb County Pride

Macomb County Pride is a one-day street festival on Main Street in downtown Mount Clemens. It runs from noon to early evening with vendors and entertainment.

Macomb County Pride is a grassroots, volunteer-led organization whose mission is to create a supportive environment for LGBTQ+ people and serve as a resource in Macomb County. It says it respects the dignity of all people and works to build a culture where everyone feels they belong. The festival brings live entertainment, local vendors, community resources and family-friendly activities to downtown Mount Clemens.

The group is governed by a volunteer board made up largely of people who grew up in or live in Macomb County, including original board members who have been with it since the start. It regularly recruits new board members, looking for LGBTQIA+ people and allies with nonprofit experience and a few hours a month to give, and it especially encourages people of color, accountants and lawyers to apply.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held August 8, 2026. It usually falls second Saturday of August.
