Sudbury PRIDE Day

Sudbury PRIDE Day is a family-friendly celebration at Curtis Middle School organized by Sudbury PRIDE 01776, with entertainment, food trucks, and community groups.

Sudbury PRIDE Day marked its fifth year in 2026 with an afternoon at Curtis Middle School featuring a drag queen story time and lip sync, performances, food trucks and many community groups. The event runs rain or shine and moves inside the school if it rains, with restrooms and water fountains near the cafeteria available either way.

Parking is at the school, with side streets as overflow. Juliana's Catering and Trombetta's have brought trucks for food and ice cream, and most vendors take cash or Venmo. Yard signs are sold at the event or online with home delivery, and T-shirts come in youth and adult sizes, with more items in an online merchandise store.

Sudbury PRIDE 01776 hosts gatherings through the year, such as coffee meetups at Sudbury Coffee Works with an optional walk on the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail. It has co-sponsored a program for parents of neurodivergent and gender-diverse children with the Sudbury SEPAC and the Sudbury Commission on Disability, and it promotes related events from the Goodnow Library and Sudbury for Racial and Social Justice.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 14, 2026. It usually falls mid June, a Sunday.
