Dormont Pride in the Park

Dormont Pride in the Park is a free, all-ages afternoon and evening celebration in Dormont Park, presented by the Dormont Community Development Corporation.

The Dormont Community Development Corporation is a nonprofit run entirely by a volunteer board of directors. It works to build a close-knit community through events, committees and partnerships with local businesses and organizations. Its projects include the Dormont Free Pantry and a series of summer Party in the Park events at Hillsdale Park, and its vice president co-chairs the group's LGBTQ committee.

Pride in the Park is the corporation's Pride celebration, and in 2026 it ran from 1 to 8 p.m. on a Sunday in late June. Local businesses, artists and organizations can host tables at the event after review by the planning committee, and a tote bag is sold at the event that sponsors can fill with promotional materials. Sponsorship levels range from a small table package to a season-long package covering Pride and the summer park series, and questions go to event leadership at dormontcdc@gmail.com.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 28, 2026. It usually falls last Sunday in June.
