Doylestown Pride Festival

The Doylestown Pride Festival is a multiday celebration with film screenings, panel discussions, a drag brunch, a Pride block party and a music day. 2026 was its seventh year.

The Doylestown Pride Festival was created by a coalition of local organizations and businesses to celebrate the town's diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. It spreads across much of June, with events at venues around the borough, including a block party on State Street outside the County Theater and the Loud and Proud music day at Delaware Valley University. Borough businesses and residents are encouraged to fly Pride flags starting June 1.

Pride Month opens with a flag raising on the old Bucks County Courthouse lawn, where young people from The Rainbow Room, a local LGBTQ+ youth program, raise the Progress Pride flag on the county flagpole. The borough raises its own Pride flag at Court and Main Streets and in front of Borough Hall the same day.

Programming mixes film, performance and community gatherings. Screenings have included camp and drag classics such as Mommie Dearest and To Wong Foo. The Rainbow Room hosts a free Queer Youth Open Mic with live music, art, Pride merchandise and baked goods for sale, and past festivals have featured a drag tribute to Doylestown native Pink at MOMs Doylestown and a Pride cocktail contest among local bars for guests 21 and over. The festival recruits volunteers for the block party, music day and other events.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
