Monroe County Pride

Monroe County Pride holds an annual afternoon Pride festival in Monroe. The event includes an art market, informational booths, performers, and the Monroe Pride Drag Pageant.

Monroe County Pride takes place at St. Mary's Park at 111 W. Elm Ave. in Monroe. The main entrance sits off the parking lot near the Martin Luther King Jr. walking bridge and leads toward the pavilion. Admission is free, and the event is open to community members and allies of all ages.

Along with performances through the day, the festival has informational and educational booths, food trucks, an art market and games. Parking is available in the St. Mary's lot, across the river on Front Street, with the renovated walking bridge leading back to the park, and on nearby streets. The group welcomes volunteers, donors and sponsors, and invites vendors and performers to take part. Questions about the event can be sent to the organizers by email.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 27, 2026. It usually falls last Saturday of June.
