North Shore Pride

North Shore Pride holds an annual parade and festival in Salem for LGBTQ+ residents and allies across the North Shore. The parade lines up at Shetland Park and is followed by a free, all-ages festival with live music, drag performances, and community vendors. After-events are held for adults and for youth ages 11 to 23 at NAGLY.

North Shore Pride, Inc. says its mission is to promote the welfare and unity of the LGBTQ community on the North Shore of Massachusetts and to advocate for its acceptance by the wider region. It works to build understanding of LGBTQ issues and speaks up on the issues that matter to its members.

The organization raises money through events it produces, and it uses those funds both for its own programs and to give back to the community. It carries out its work through partnerships with individuals, organizations and businesses, and it says its programs have reached LGBTQ people across the spectrum, including youth, elders, people of different racial and ethnic backgrounds and veterans. It relies on donations to keep those programs going, and it marks moments such as Bi Visibility Day through the year.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

North Shore Pride has included parade, festival and youth events.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 27, 2026. It usually falls last Saturday in June.
