Hull Pride Celebration

Hull Pride is a volunteer nonprofit that holds an annual Pride celebration in Hull each June. There is no admission fee, and donations support a diversity scholarship awarded that day to a graduating Hull senior. The group also hosts a queer book club and monthly gatherings.

Hull Pride is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports the LGBTQIA+ community in Hull through events, advocacy, philanthropy and connection. With support from the Town of Hull, the Hull Police Department and the Economic Development Committee, the group striped and maintains a rainbow crosswalk across Nantasket Avenue, the town's main road, at Kenberma Street.

The board is made up of local residents, several of whom grew up in Hull or came back to raise families there. Founding members include a Hull High School graduate active with the Hull Yacht Club and the Hull Lifesaving Museum, and a member of the town's Select Board. Other board members bring backgrounds in nursing, operations and youth work, and one recently retired member is focused on helping LGBTQIA+ seniors feel more included in town life.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 6, 2026. It usually falls early June.
