SLC Pride

SLC Pride is a Salt Lake City Pride event separate from the Utah Pride Festival. It aims to bring together queer, BIPOC, trans, disabled, and undocumented communities.

SLC Pride aims to create an inclusive celebration of queer community built around visibility, belonging, support and equity, and to show the full and complicated range of what it means to be queer in Salt Lake City. It envisions a place where all people and their chosen families thrive and where people support others who are both like and unlike them.

The organizers list specific commitments for how they run the event. They aim to be financially transparent and sustainable, environmentally sustainable where they can, and physically accessible at or beyond ADA requirements. They pledge to be open about who is in leadership and who they partner with, to focus on local artists, performers, organizations, activists and politicians, and to maximize safety while minimizing trauma for attendees.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 27-28, 2026. It usually falls late June.
