Plymouth Pride

Plymouth Pride is a free waterfront festival at Nelson Memorial Park run by Plymouth Pride Inc., a nonprofit. It features music, entertainers, drag performances, a beer garden, craft and retail vendors, resource tables, food trucks, and a pet contest. A 21-plus after party follows at a local hotel.

Plymouth Pride got its start in the summer of 2019, when a group of volunteers entered the Plymouth Fourth of July Parade. The crowd gave them a warm welcome and the entry won first place in the community category. To keep that momentum going, the group became a nonprofit, and it has held a Plymouth Pride Festival every year since 2021.

The organization is made up of volunteers from surrounding towns, and its stated vision is to support the community and bring education, visibility and awareness to Plymouth. It continues to march in the Fourth of July Parade and invites volunteers to join its Pride section, with hopes of adding more decorations and floats. Local access station PACTV produced a public service announcement for the festival.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 28, 2026. It usually falls last Sunday of June.
