Quincy Pride Day

Quincy Pride Day is the annual Pride festival of Quincy Pride, an all-volunteer nonprofit formed in 2018 to celebrate the South Shore LGBTQIA community. The festival is held at Pageant Field in Quincy, and the group hosts other celebrations through the year.

Quincy Pride, also known as Q Pride, is a 501(c)(3) run entirely by volunteers. It was founded to raise awareness and provide education about the rights and civil liberties of LGBTQIA+, nonbinary and gender-fluid people, especially those who are marginalized or lack access to resources. Its mission is to promote acceptance, diversity, equity and inclusion through the annual Q Pride Day Festival and to advocate for LGBTQIA+ families and residents of Quincy and the South Shore.

The organization's goals go beyond the festival. It works to strengthen collaboration with local and statewide groups, and it supports the community through service, education, programs, donations, scholarships and leadership opportunities. It also maintains a local directory of LGBTQ resources in and around Quincy and runs a community partner program for businesses and organizations. The board is made up of volunteer residents, and the group regularly recruits people to fill open roles.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 27, 2026. It usually falls last Saturday in June.
