Russian River Pride

Russian River Pride holds a free parade and festival in downtown Guerneville, anchored by a week of Pride events around town. The organization also runs a community grant program.

Russian River Pride is a volunteer-led nonprofit rooted in the LGBTQ+ community of the lower Russian River in West Sonoma County. Its mission is to amplify LGBTQ+ voices in the area through celebration, advocacy and fundraising while honoring the region's history. Pride returned to Guerneville in 2023 with a parade, festival and community events, and the organization has built on that each year since. The 2026 theme, Let It Flow, centered on self-expression, creativity and identity.

The parade travels through downtown Guerneville along Main Street, also known as River Road or Highway 116, and flows straight into the festival. The main stage and beverage garden are set up in the Lark Drugs parking lot, with live entertainment, drag, local vendors, family activities and community organizations. An interactive map shows the parade route, festival areas and vendors. Parade groups with vehicles must show a valid license and insurance at check-in, and minors need a signed waiver from a parent or guardian.

Donations cover permits, staging, accessibility, performers and outreach. Money left over after the event goes into an annual grant program for local nonprofits serving the lower Russian River area.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held September 19, 2026. It usually falls mid-September, with a week of events.
