Sonoma County Pride

Sonoma County Pride holds a weekend of events in Santa Rosa each June, anchored by a parade and festival downtown. The 2026 program included a flag raising, a transgender rights rally, a kickoff party, the parade and festival on June 6, and a pool party.

Sonoma County Pride works to foster equity, visibility and belonging for LGBTQIA+ people across the region through collaboration, education, celebration and safe, affirming spaces, while honoring LGBTQIA+ history. It is led by an all-volunteer board of directors. Its president, Christopher Kren-Mora, has volunteered with the group since 2018 and also oversees its marketing.

The organization notes that a UCLA Williams Institute analysis of census data once ranked the Santa Rosa metro area, in effect Sonoma County, second in the nation for the share of households with same-sex couples, behind only San Francisco.

After the parade, the festival fills Old Courthouse Square and Fourth Street in downtown Santa Rosa from late morning to late afternoon. It features live entertainment, community programming, a marketplace of handmade goods, Pride apparel, art and jewelry, nonprofit and business booths, and local food vendors. The 2026 theme, Pride and True: Advance, Advocate, Act Up, looked at progress while calling for continued work on equality and justice, and dance music vocalist Kristine W, who has 17 number-one Billboard dance club hits, headlined.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Sonoma County Pride has included parade, festival, trans rally and flag raising.

Sonoma County Pride was first held in 1987.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 5-7, 2026. It usually falls first weekend of June.
