Petaluma Pride Festival

The Petaluma Pride Festival is an annual afternoon festival at the Petaluma Fairgrounds. Petaluma Pride works year-round to build a safe, inclusive community for queer and trans people in and around Petaluma.

Petaluma Pride's mission is to build an inclusive, safe community for queer and trans people in and around Petaluma through partnerships, events, programming and its annual festival. It envisions a community where queer, trans and gender expansive people are safe, celebrated and connected, with health outcomes equal to those of their straight and cisgender neighbors, and where the group stands in solidarity with other marginalized people and helps allies become effective supporters.

The 2026 festival brought together a wide mix of participants. Community groups included Amor Para Todos, B'nai Israel Jewish Center, the Committee on the Shelterless, Compass Parents, LGBTQ Connection and NAACP Santa Rosa-Sonoma County, and the national Pride networks InterPride and the United States Association of Prides also took part. Food vendors served tamales, Creole cooking, Maine lobster, coffee, tea and sodas, and activities ranged from face painting and a portrait drawing machine to Phoenix Pro Wrestling.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
