Silicon Valley Pride

Silicon Valley Pride is San Jose's largest LGBTQ+ celebration, with a festival at Plaza Park and a parade downtown. The nonprofit marked its 50th anniversary in 2025. It also organizes a Pride 5K run.

Silicon Valley PRIDE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that marked 51 years in 2026 under the theme Flourish and Bloom. The weekend opens with a Saturday night festival from 6 to 11 p.m. at Plaza Park. On Sunday the parade runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting at Julian and Market Streets and ending at Plaza Park, followed by the day festival from noon to 6 p.m. Tickets are sold per person per day, and wristbands allow re-entry, with entrances at the north and south ends of the park.

The 2026 lineup was headlined by Altégo, Noodles, Kerri Colby and Fijiana, alongside local artists, drag performers, DJs and cultural acts. The Family Garden offers games, activities and performances for kids and parents, food trucks include vegan and vegetarian options, and more than 100 booths feature LGBTQ+ organizations, local businesses and advocacy groups. Pride week events at local venues continue after dark. The site is served by VTA's Blue and Green light rail lines and several bus routes, and downtown parking information is available through ParkSJ.

Jerry Mai became interim CEO on January 1, 2026, while the organization searches nationally for a permanent leader. He joined the board in 2021, expanded the festival footprint and launched its first 5K Pride Run. The 2025 festival, which celebrated the organization's 50th anniversary, was headlined by San Jose native Snow Tha Product.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held August 29-30, 2026. It usually falls last weekend of August.
