Somerville Pride Festival

The Somerville Pride Festival fills Division Street with live performances, speakers, community resources and Pride specials at downtown shops and restaurants. 2026 was its sixth year.

The Somerville Pride Festival is produced by the Downtown Somerville Alliance, the organization that supports the downtown business district. The festival combines performances and speakers with art activations, community resources and rainbow-themed specials at local shops and restaurants, and it draws visitors from across the region as a showcase of the borough's commitment to diversity and belonging.

The 2026 festival added an evening element with a neon theme, featuring glowing rainbow furniture, audience lip sync battles and glow performers, hosted by Lady Celestina.

Parking is available in municipal lots around the downtown core, with a pay station in each lot. Organizers recommend lot 7 on East High Street, which charges a small hourly rate on weekdays and is free on Saturdays and Sundays. Lots 1, 2 and 6 are the next best options and are free on Sundays, while meters on Main Street have a two-hour limit and are meant for shoppers. Downtown Somerville, the county seat of Somerset County, also offers a self-guided historic walking tour for visitors who want to explore before or after the festival.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
