Transilience: Chicago Trans Pride Festival

Transilience is a free trans Pride festival that moves between parks on Chicago's North, South, and West sides over several days. It showcases trans performers in dance, drag, live music, circus, comedy, and other forms. Community groups and nonprofits can table at no cost.

Transilience is produced by Gender Fucked Productions, a Chicago company that works to advance trans, nonbinary and gender nonconforming equity by supporting artists and building community. Its stated values include full and enthusiastic consent in all art-making, keeping work economically accessible, distributing money equitably and letting the community lead its own efforts.

The 2026 edition, the city's second trans Pride festival, came to parks on Chicago's West Side, including a gathering at Eckhart Park from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 9. Vendors selling work for profit pay a fee, while community groups, mutual aid groups and nonprofits table for free. The company also runs Trans Scribe, a festival of new theatrical works, and a trans liberation open mic hosted through its producer mentorship program.

A Trans Pride centers transgender, nonbinary and gender-diverse people, often with a march or rally alongside community resources and performances.
