Upper Chesapeake Bay Pride Festival

The Upper Chesapeake Bay Pride Festival is held at Concord Point Park near the Havre de Grace lighthouse. It is organized by the Upper Chesapeake Bay Pride Foundation, which provides advocacy, education and support for LGBTQIA+ people in Harford County and nearby communities. The 2026 festival is on Saturday, October 3 from 1 to 6 p.m.

The Upper Chesapeake Bay Pride Foundation works toward a community where LGBTQIA+ people in Harford County and neighboring areas thrive and lead happy, healthy lives. Its stated values include inclusion, collective action, leadership development and removing barriers to social justice. Beyond the festival, the foundation offers a safe and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ teens in Harford County and has published the results of a community needs assessment.

Its leadership includes Kurt, a member of the Governor's Commission on LGBTQIA+ Affairs and a higher education professional with 28 years of experience whose doctoral work focused on LGBTQIA+ community college students, and vice president Carrie, who leads communications and brand identity. Sponsors, exhibitors, performers, food vendors and volunteers all sign up through the foundation, and festival details are published on the Let's Rallie app. Each year a design contest picks the festival shirt, and winners receive a free shirt with their design.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
